9 Morning Rituals To Get Rid Of Pesky Cellulite

The word cellulite is a fancy word to say that there is fat under the skin. Cellulite pushes against the connective tissues under your skin and makes it appear bumpy, hence the term ‘cottage cheese thighs’.

If you’ve ever looked in the mirror after a shower and seen this, you’re seeing cellulite.

Cellulite can occur anywhere on the body but the most common areas for it to occur are on the thighs, buttocks, upper arms, mid-section and the hips. More women than men will have cellulite and there are many contributing factors.

Some of these factors you can do nothing about such as genetics, a few of the factors, however, you can easily address.

These are such things as poor dietary management, fad diets, a slower metabolism, lack of exercise, hydration, body fat and hormone changes. Let’s examine some ways that we can help to reduce cellulite.

Lemon Water

Citrus is well known for its ability to help melt fat. By starting the day with a lemon water you’re jump-starting the process of fat burning for your day. The more fat you burn the less fat there is to turn into cellulite.

An added bonus is that the Vitamin C in the lemon water will help to combat the fat as well. Simply pour yourself a glass of refreshing water and squeeze in the juice of one lemon.

Exercise

Get up and get moving. Every action you do helps to reduce fat and eliminate cellulite. The more you sweat the more toxins your body burns up and excretes.

Cap your exercise routine off with a trip to the sauna where you can finish sweating out that fat.

A quick shower to rinse all of those toxins down the drain and you’re well on your way to a fat and cellulite free life.

Dry Brush Before Shower

Break some of that fat loose by taking a loofah sponge and dry brushing you trouble areas before you shower. Give them a good brush over and help to loosen it underneath of your skin.

It not only breaks the fat-free, it also improves your circulation and will go far in helping those toxins to wash away down the drain.

Then take your shower just as you regularly would. The steam of the shower combined with the scrubbing will help to rid your body of toxins and reduce the appearance of cellulite.

Apply Cream

In addition to hydrating your skin from the inside, hydrate your skin from the outside. The more hydrated your skin is the less noticeable that cellulite will be.

There are many creams on the market today that help to reduce cellulite or you can simply use your favorite cream. Either way, give your skin a generous massage with plenty of cream.

Consider A Self-Tanning Lotion

One of the best-kept secrets for top models today is how they banish cellulite, guess what, they don’t. Yes, you read that right. Models have cellulite as well. They aren’t perfect.

In fact, their imperfections are part of what makes them so special. So where does the self-tanning lotion fit in? It’s simple; apply some cream or lotion type self-tanning lotion to your trouble areas only.

Don’t apply this anywhere else on your body, only in the trouble areas. Allow this to dry completely and then grab a can of that spray tan and spray that on over your body.

By having the cream tanner underneath you’re making it less noticeable. It works, every time.

Cellulite Buster Breakfast

When it comes to cellulite busting breakfasts, flaxseeds are your new best friend. The oils in flaxseeds help to break down the cellulite in your body. Here are a few ideas to get you started.

Sprinkle some flaxseed’s over your favorite breakfast cereal. Eat some flaxseed bread for your morning toast.

Add flaxseed to your favorite Greek yogurt. Eat more bananas and eggs with your breakfasts. Both of these are shown to help reduce cellulite.

You can also eat more pears, more blueberries, and more oatmeal, all foods that have been shown to help reduce the formation of cellulite.

The healthier you eat the better your chances of winning the battle against cellulite.

Take Your Vitamins

Vitamin C is well known for its ability to help melt fats. Take an all-natural Vitamin C supplement on a daily basis to help your body melt that cellulite off.

Additionally, Vitamins E and a complex B vitamin are also very helpful (although you should be mindful to avoid any that are derived directly from yeast).

Vitamin A is healthy for your skin as is Zinc and Selenium. You can find some of these in your foods that you choose to eat as long as you’re eating a healthy diet that is rich in fruits and vegetables.

Stay Hydrated

Your body is made up of 60 percent water. When you stay hydrated your cellulite will blend in better with the rest of your skin. When you’re dehydrated the cellulite will protrude more and show that cellulite.

Strive to drink at least six to eight glasses of water per day. You’ll feel healthier, more energetic and have less cellulite showing.

If you’re just not into water try adding some fruit slices like oranges, strawberries, lemon or lime etc.

This will help you to drink more and it will also add some vitamins that can help to eliminate cellulite and fat.

Relax

Believe it or not, stress can add to your cellulite. Your body will have better circulation and less noticeable cellulite if you learn to relax.

Relaxation will help improve the circulation in your system and you’ll not only be healthier, the cellulite will be less noticeable on your thighs and anywhere else on your body.

Clearly, the battle with cellulite is ongoing. You’re going to have to be willing to battle it every step of the way in order to be successful.

You can set yourself a goal to work on one thing at a time and greatly improve your cellulite issue simply by trying one or more of these morning rituals to rid yourself of cellulite.

  1. I agree with keeping yourself hydrated with water because I’ve noticed something after going out for drinks with the girls from work that the next morning I notice extra bumpy skin. Alcohol really dehydrates you and unless you drink a lot of water while you drink the cellulite will showcase itself by morning like a dried sponge waiting for some water. Ha!

I didn’t know about the lemon water, so now I will start adding lemon to my daily water intake, I recently bought a water infuser and having a lemon inside the holding chamber will work great. I’ve been using strawberries thus far, but the lemons are going to take over that spot–I gotta get rid of this bumpy skin crap as summer is approaching.

I enjoyed the article, thanks for the tips! 🙂

  3. Oh my goodness, I love these tips. I am a morning person anyway and lemon water is my absolute favorite drink! I will be drinking it from now on early each morning.

I love doing my exercise in the morning anyway, so I will definitely be stepping up my workout game once my baby makes his appearance in couple of weeks. I can use all the cellulite fighting help I can get!

  4. Great tips! I thing I want to share some tips which are help to get rid of cellulite, and tone your butt, you can follow these simple tips:

Drink Water – Drinking water can help to reduce cellulite, but not for the reason that you normally hear. Water does not flush “toxins” out of your cellulite, or anything else. Water is good for the skin, and can help improve elasticity and make your skin look tighter and younger. This not only makes you look younger, but can help tighten the skin on the thighs and butt.

Exercise – Many so-called “experts” claim that running, biking, and cardio are good ways to get rid of cellulite. While this is partially true, its certainly not the fastest or most effective way to do it. Targeted resistance training can deliver much faster and more noticeable results. It’s also more effective at burning fat than doing cardio, contrary to popular belief.
