Castor oil for cellulite

There are definitely occasions in life where you will either want or need to show off your legs.

Usually, there is no problem, but if you are suffering from cellulite you may feel a little bit self conscious about the way your thighs look.

After all, cellulite is not terribly attractive. No matter what you have tried, you may feel that it is simply impossible to get rid of something that is so completely natural and normal but that looks really quite awful.

If you are at your wits’ end, however, you may need to try just one more cure: it could be the one for you.

Cellulite treatment need not be expensive

Those people who have suffered with cellulite for a long time may have wasted a lot of time and money on specialist treatments that are supposed to cure cellulite or simply reduce its appearance.

Some of these treatments can work, but some of them have no medical evidence to back them up.

For this reason, it is a good idea not to rush into treatments that you have not researched or that you are not sure about.

In fact, there are a lot more effective treatments that you can do from the comfort of your own home and that do not cost an awful lot.

Prevention: better than cure

If you are not yet one of the eight out of ten women suffering from cellulite, then you have a chance to prevent cellulite from occurring – this is much easier than getting rid of cellulite once it has started.

If you are worried that you might be prone to getting cellulite, whether in a few years or in the more distant future – perhaps if your mother or grandmother has or had it – then you may need to start taking precautions.

Even if you have already developed cellulite, you will want to take the following measures to prevent it from getting any worse:

Drink plenty of water

Drinking enough water is generally very beneficial to the overall health and well being of ourselves and our bodies.

If you are adequately hydrated throughout the day, this means that your skin is well hydrated, too.

If you skin is hydrated enough, it will begin to work more efficiently, which will mean that it looks and feels a lot better even without having to moisturize two or three times a day. This will help reduce the appearance of cellulite.

Eat well

A good, healthy diet is important to your health and well being in general, but it can have a huge impact on whether or not you develop cellulite.

By eating right – plenty of fruit and vegetables, for instance, and not too much excess fat, sugar or salt – you can help your body work more efficiently which means that the excess fat around your thighs and buttocks can be better broken down.

This, of course, will mean that your cellulite will be cured.

Exercise

Once again, like drinking enough and eating well, exercise is one of the cornerstones of living a good and healthy life.

Doing the right sort of exercises to stretch your skin and your muscles can improve their elasticity and drastically reduce the appearance of cellulite in only a matter of weeks.

Can you cure cellulite?

If you are already suffering from cellulite, the above steps will definitely help you, but you might need to do something extra to really get rid of your cellulite once and for all.

As mentioned previously, there are a number of different cures out there that can help, but many of them are simply too fiddly or expensive to consider investing in.

Luckily, however, with new advances in medicine and the science of beauty, easier, more efficient and, crucially, more effective cures for cellulite have been found and continue to be found to this day.

Castor oil: the next wonder cure for cellulite

Castor oil can be applied to the thighs and buttocks area – wherever has been effected by the cellulite – in generous amounts, rubbed in and left to penetrate the skin.

In order to make one of these, you simple need to saturate a flannel in the castor oil, press it to the affected area, wrap it in plastic and then heat it with some sort of heating pad so that the castor oil will completely penetrate the skin.

  1. I knew about diet and exercise, but I didn’t realize castor oil was such a miracle worker when it came to dealing with cellulite! I’ve been drinking a lot of water lately, but now I will be adding castor oil to my shopping list to give this a go and see how it works for me!
