olive oil for cellulite

How to get rid of cellulite in a month with 3 ingredients that we have in our own house

There are plenty of procedures out there nowadays to help you get rid of your cellulite quickly, but very many of them are either not guaranteed to work for long or can be very expensive.

More and more people, therefore, are looking for cheaper and easier ways of reducing the appearance of their cellulite, often using only things that are immediately at their disposal.

In fact, modern science is discovering, there are loads of very common ingredients hiding away in our cupboards that naturally contain vitamins, minerals and other essential things that can help to either prevent or get rid of cellulite.

Along with a well-balanced diet and plenty of exercises, introducing these three common ingredients to your every diet can help you get the body of your dreams without having to shell out huge amounts of money for painful and experimental procedures.

Getting rid of cellulite need not be expensive

Instead of wasting hundreds of dollars on expensive treatments that aren’t even guaranteed to work or on creams, lotions and potions that take ages to work, take matters into your own hands and start cooking your cellulite away (not literally, though!).

Eating the right things at the right times can help you to get rid of your cellulite and prevent it ever coming back again, even without spending a lot more on your weekly shop.

In fact, you may find that you spend less on cellulite-fighting superfoods than you originally thought, particularly if you introduce these three ingredients to your everyday cooking:

olive oil for cellulite

Olive oil

We all have olive oil in our homes and we all use it to fry our food – whether we’re having eggs and bacon or whether we’re cooking some vegetables, olive oil is always there, usually close at hand, to form the base of almost any meal.

It may be a shock, then, to find out that it is actually one of the best ingredients to help you prevent the formation of cellulite and to help burn away the cellulite that you already have.

However, scientists have found out that olive oil is absolutely packed with monounsaturated fats – the good sort of fats – that have been linked to healthy thyroid function.

When your thyroid works properly, so does your metabolism, which is absolutely essential to get rid of your cellulite. After all, a fast-acting metabolism will mean quicker-burning fat.

The quicker you burn your fat, the less likely it is to be stored under the skin as cellulite and make your thighs and buttocks appear dimpled and lumpy.

As well as using olive oil as a base for your frying needs, use it as a healthier alternative for simple and delicious salad dressings.

Berries

Most people know that berries, although they can be high in fructose, are very good for you. But did you also know that the majority of berries can actually help your body to fight against cellulite?

In particular, the dark-colored berries – for instance, blackberries and blueberries – are packed full of antioxidants.

These are well known to help break down fat, particularly the fat stored in the subcutaneous level, that attaches to connective tissue which is, of course, the main way that cellulite is formed.

Other berries – such as strawberries and raspberries, for instance – are packed full of other good things, like vitamin E and magnesium.

Magnesium, in particular, can help to flush out the toxins that help cellulite from under the skin, so eating berries can help not only help to reduce the appearance of cellulite, it can also prevent cellulite from forming in the first place. And the best thing about berries?

They are fast acting! Simply add berries to your diet – in a fruit salad, for instance, or even in your cooking – and start seeing speedy results.

Cayenne and chili peppers

Yes, you read that right – cayenne and chili peppers, which most of us use for most of our flavoring needs, can help to reduce the appearance of your cellulite and even prevent it from forming.

This is one of those ingredients that absolutely everyone has hidden away somewhere in their cupboards and that most of us use every day without thinking twice.

These ingredients can be added to almost anything that you want to add them to, so you need not worry about cooking special meals just to use them.

Both these types of peppers naturally contain the B6 vitamin. This, scientists have discovered, can help to fortify connective tissue, thus preventing its breakdown that often results in the appearance of skin resembling that of cottage cheese.

As a bonus, cayenne and chili peppers are also rich in capsaicin which is well known to help boost the metabolism for up to three hours immediately after consumption.

This means that, even as you are eating them, cayenne and chili peppers are helping to tackle your cellulite and prevent it from worsening.

How often should you eat these incredible ingredients?

The simple answer is as often as possible! However, it is usually easier to add flavoring such as cayenne and chili pepper than it is to add berries to a dish.

For this reason, therefore, most experts suggest trying to eat chili peppers or cayenne peppers at least once a day, olive oil at least once every two days (although preferably once a day) and berries a couple of times a week, particularly because they are naturally high in sugars.

However, it does all depend on your diet and the things you usually eat. If you are used to eating other foodstuffs (and there are plenty) that can help to prevent the formation of cellulite or to reduce its appearance, then you may find that you do not need to eat these ingredients that often.

If you do not often eat other cellulite-beating superfoods, though, you will need to eat the three ingredients listed above as often as possible to make up for it.

  1. Runs to kitchen to start smearing olive oil on body — kidding! I knew olive oil was filled with the “good fat” but didn’t know it could be used to fight the cellulite epidemic on my upper thigh.

It’s funny, three years ago my husband and I moved to our new home and behind our shed we found a row of berry trees and started to pick them to make homemade smoothies. Well, that summer three years ago we were our slimmest and we just assumed it was because we spent the summer unpacking and moving furniture around but now that I think about it may have been our overdose of berries.

We haven’t touched one since, got bored from overeating them because they were free to us, but I will be picking some more later on thanks to this interesting read.

Cayenne pepper also helps out with weight loss because the peppers rev up your metabolism, just an extra tip for your readers, so they can battle their weight and cellulite with cayenne. Awesome article, thanks! 🙂

  2. For years, my grandma uses olive oil for almost every ailment. then, i did’nt know how useful it is, until now. well… until after i read this.

Olive oil has been one of my favourites especially when cooking health wise but I didn’t know olive oil is actually a remedy to treat cellulite which is absolute amazing after reading this brilliant article. I will definitely give olive oil a try. My sister loves berries and she is always adding different kinds of berries in her fruit salad but I didn’t know they were so beneficial to break down fat.

  4. cellulite is one of the most problem people are tackling this days,

Cellulite is the most disturbing skin conditions to many people. The main causes of cellulite include hormonal imbalances, weight gain, poor diet, lack of adequate exercises among others. I have heard about a cellulite cream Cellmaxa from Solvaderm skin care brand which significantly shrinks and reduces the volume of subcutaneous fat cells that cause skin to take on an irregular, pitted, or dimpled appearance . Green tea also helps to get rid of cellulite to some extent.
