struggling with cellulite

Summer’s ready and waiting; are you?

Summer is here! The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and that skimpy little bathing suit is waiting for you.

However, you might be slightly worried about showing off your figure, whether it is because you spent the winter months putting on a bit of extra weight (perfectly healthy and normal, but not ideal for when the months start to get a little bit warmer) or whether it is because you are suffering from cellulite.

Cellulite does not look pretty and it can really undermine your confidence if you feel as though people are going to be staring at your thighs, and not for the right reasons.

If you are still struggling with cellulite, you will need a quick cure – after all, you will want to make the most of this beautiful weather while you can!

A quick cure means an expensive cure, right?

Just because a cure can act quickly to reduce the appearance of your cellulite does not mean it has to cost the Earth!

There are a number of great treatments out there that are neither expensive nor time-consuming.

Of course, professionals may encourage you to pay over the odds for some treatments (despite the fact that, sometimes, they may not work well), but there are some great ways to beat them at their own game and create your own home remedies to cure your cellulite without having to rely on beauticians, some of whom are just out to make a quick buck at your expense.

In fact, some of the provably best treatments are those that you can do for the safety and comfort of your own home. They are also guaranteed to work in around two weeks, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the rest of summer if you get started straight away.

Basic improvement methods

There are a few things that you should be doing at all times to help reduce the appearance of your cellulite and to get other great results, such as improving your figure ready for that summer dress and making your skin look absolutely radiant.

Drink plenty of water

You need to stay hydrated throughout the summer for a number of reasons. Firstly, not drinking enough water can result in getting heat stroke, developing headaches and other, nastier problems.

Ensuring that you are hydrated will also mean that your skin stays hydrated, which means that it is better able to repair and maintain itself, not only making it look absolutely stunning but also helping to reduce the appearance of your cellulite.

Get plenty of rest

Your body needs time to heal, and it does this most efficiently when you are asleep. Although sometimes the summer nights are hot and uncomfortable, you need to be making sure that you get enough sleep if you are going to help reduce the appearance of your cellulite in just a couple of weeks.

Eat well

Eating enough as well as eating the right sorts of foodstuffs is essential to improving the look of your cellulite quickly and efficiently.

If your body is getting all the essential vitamins and minerals that it needs, it can fix itself quicker and better and help to break down the fat beneath the skin, thus reducing the cellulite in your thighs and buttocks.

What else can you do to improve to look of your cellulite quickly and safely?

Besides the steps listed above (which you should be doing anyway all throughout the year), there are a number of different – often cheap and easy – ways to improve the look of your cellulite without spending hundreds of dollars on experimental treatments.

The following are treatment methods that are commonly used to help treat and cure cellulite.

Dry brushing

Dry brushing is an excellent way of getting rid of all the dead skin cells on your buttocks and thighs. This means that they stop covering the living skin underneath, allowing those cells access to light and air which can help them work more efficiently.

Once your skin is able to breathe properly, it will start to look a lot better, reducing the appearance of your cellulite underneath quickly and efficiently. For the best results, do this once a day for two weeks and combine it with coconut oil moisturizer (see below).

Coconut oil

It is well known now that coconut oil can do wonders for your skin. It hydrates and cares for skin all over the body and can really improve its appearance, health and restore its softness.

When combined with dry brushing, coconut oil can help not only to make your skin feel wonderful but also aid in the reduction of cellulite. Use this in combination with the dry brushing at least once a day for two weeks.

Tomatoes

This one sounds a bit crazy, but it has been proven many times over to be a very effective cure for cellulite. Tomatoes contain high levels of the naturally occurring lycopene. This can help to prevent collagen in the skin being broken down.

Seaweed

Seaweed is used in many different sorts of health and beauty products, and for good reason: it is incredible. It is naturally exfoliating, which means that it can help improve blood circulation all over the body which can, in turn, improve the look of cellulite.

Seaweed is best applied as a paste or a lotion which you can either make by yourself using only natural ingredients or you can buy ready made from shops. Try to use seaweed once a day for two weeks for the best results.

Although summer is already here, it is not too late for you to do something about your cellulite and get yourself ready to welcome it with open arms.

By using a combination of the treatments listed above, you will soon start seeing a difference in the appearance of your cellulite and in two weeks you will be beach perfect!

  1. Hello again. Can you explain what dry brushing is? Do I literally take a brush and move it over my legs? You also mention that tomatoes are good for removing the appearance of cellulite. Do I eat them or rub them on my legs? Sorry, I’m a bit confused. Thanks for your help!
