Home DIY Cellulite Remedies

Cellulite, those cottage cheese like little bumps that you see on your hips and thighs and sometimes other areas of your body, are frustrating.

There’s often no rhyme nor reason for their existence and you’re left feeling frustrated and embarrassed by their very existence.

It doesn’t have to be that way, with a few of these tricks you’ll be looking great in no time and can rid yourself of cellulite.

In an effort to reduce cellulite, many are turning to at home do it yourself remedies. There are many easy at home solutions to cellulite and you’ll be amazed at the results. You don’t need any special equipment and you don’t have to go to the gym to get results.

Coffee Scrub

What you’ll need:

½ cup coffee Grounds

1 Tablespoon of Honey (we prefer raw)

1 Tablespoon Almond Oil

In a medium size bowl mix the above ingredients into a paste. If it’s too dry add more of the oil and if it’s too wet add in more of the coffee grounds.

Now take your newly made coffee ground paste and step into the shower. Scrub the paste into your trouble spots and use a circular motion.

This will not only help to exfoliate your skin, it will also help to break the fat deposits loose and flush the toxins from your body.

Do this massage for about 5 minutes on each trouble spot (usually your belly, your thighs and your hips). Rinse off completely and when you step out of the shower use a moisturizing cream all over paying close attention to your trouble spots.

Caution: If you’re using it on your face, use it only once or twice per week. When used on the face you’ll have instantly glowing skin. It can also help to reverse damage caused from over exposure to the sun, even out a blotchy skin tone and reduce redness.

Dry Brush Skin

Before you shower, take a moment and use a dry scrub brush or scrubbie on your trouble spots.

This helps to break loose the fats deposited underneath of the skin. After dry brushing take a nice shower and rinse those toxins out of the way.

Hydration

To rid yourself of cellulite try hydrating from the inside out. Your body is made up of nearly 60 percent water. In order to function at optimized speed you’ll need to maintain that ratio.

Drink your six to eight glasses of water per day. If you would like, you can add in the juice of a lemon to your water to help rid your body of even more fat.

Lemon water has proven very valuable in the war against fat. It helps to break down the fats in the body and flush the toxins from the body.

Creams

There are many great creams on the market today that can be used in the war against cellulite.

These creams temporarily increase the hydration of the skin and help to make the cellulite less noticeable.

It’s important to apply them daily or even a few times a day. This will result in healthier looking skin and less noticeable cellulite.

Sugar Scrub

What You’ll Need:

½ cup of sugar (white granulated)

1 Tablespoon of Honey

1 Tablespoon of Oil (we recommend coconut oil, olive oil or almond oil)

Blend your above ingredients in a bowl. It should be a paste type consistency. If it’s too thin add more sugar and if it’s too thick add in a bit more of your chosen oil.

Now take your bowl in hand and head for the shower. Give all of your trouble areas (usually your belly, hips and thighs) a good scrub using the paste.

Scrub in a circular motion. Be sure that you rinse off completely and pat the area dry. You’ll see results in a few short days.

Sea Salt Scrub

Grandma was right; salt doesn’t just go on your food. Here’s grandma’s anti-cellulite recipe.

½ cup of sea salt (we like the finer grind for this)

Olive oil to make it into a paste (anywhere from one tablespoon to two tablespoons of olive oil)

Generously scrub this paste in a circular motion into the trouble areas as described above. This is a great exfoliant however, be aware that if you have any broken skin the sea salt can and will sting like crazy.

Do not use this after shaving as it will sting. Always rinse this off completely before shaving so that you won’t have stinging legs or armpits.

Self-Tanning Lotions

These may become your new best friend as you wage your war against cellulite. Here’s the secret, you’re going to need two different kinds of self-tanner.

You’re going to need a cream or lotion based self-tanner and you’re going to need a spray on tanner.

First: apply the cream or lotion based self-tanner only to your problem areas. Rub it in completely and allow it to fully dry. Once it’s dry move on to the second phase.

Second phase: Now take your spray tanner and spray it over your entire body including the areas that you just used the self-tanning cream or lotion on.

Allow this to dry and make sure that it was applied evenly. If you see areas that you missed respray them lightly. You can also use regular lotion to help smooth out any missed areas if they are minor.

The first coat of cream or lotion helps to camouflage the cellulite and the second coat that is sprayed on evens everything out so that you look great. Top models have sworn by this little known secret for years.

Exercise

Keep up with your morning workout regime and ensure that you’re staying on top of this. If you miss a day get right back into it the next day.

Vitamins

Take a good multi vitamin every day. Your vitamins should include plenty of zinc, folic acid, vitamin C and B complex vitamins.

By combining the above mentioned do it yourself cellulite remedies you’re sure to get a handle on the situation.

You’ll see improvement with some of these remedies from day one. Some of the remedies however will take you a few weeks to see results from. Be consistent and diligent for best results.

  1. I had read your DIY cellulite remedy article a few days ago and I just wanted to come back with an update. Obviously it’s too soon to see results but I wanted to say I enjoyed the process. FYI to the other ladies out there reading this, do make sure you lock the bathroom door to avoid a frisky husband wanting to give you a surprise visit in the shower while you’re in operation “rid cellulite from butt” mode. Awkward.

P.S ladies follow the tip about drinking plenty of water, the poster is correct about our bodies being 60% of water and dehydration DOES effect the skin.

  2. Been reading the articles here for a couple of days now and I find it to be very useful just as many people will find out too. These simple DIY remedies one can always try out at home are amazing.

Honestly, I like this website. The tips here are quite easy to understand and follow. I know so much about cellulites now, thanks to losecellulitenow.net and I am not going to keep the knowledge I have gained from here to myself alone. More power to you.
